Last year we went to a large, hyper-touristy seaside resort in the South of France and it was awful! We were drowned out by all the other holidaymakers, in a continuous stream of noisy, incessant activity. So next year, we need nature and above all peace and quiet.

We thought long and hard about it, and it became clear to us that we'd be leaving on our own. Vendée. The department is renowned for its micro-climate, with an exceptional amount of sunshine. And to satisfy our desire for nature, we headed for renting an ecolodge. We had spotted this new type of accommodation and wanted to try it out.
While browsing campsite websites, we came across Camping le Bosquet en Vendée. This 2-star campsite won us over straight away. It was exactly what we were looking for and of course they offered ecolodge rentals.
A ecolodge is accommodation built in harmony with nature, but with all the facilities of a luxury hotel. rental standard. For example, here we will have 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 3 single beds. But we'll also have a fully-equipped kitchenette and a wooden terrace with garden furniture. The only difference with the other hard-standing accommodation is that there's no running water. So we'll be using the toilet block, just as if we had a bare pitch. So we're perfectly happy with that!
