During your family holiday at camping le Bosquet, we strongly recommend that you devote one or two days to the visit to the Grand Parc du Puy du Fou with all the shows it offers.
For the whole family, young and old and even teenagers, it's a grandiose, dazzling spectacle - there's no shortage of superlatives to describe what's on offer at this theme park in Les Epesses in the Vendée.
To understand the Grand Parc, you need to know that in one day, if you are well organised, you can see all the great shows on offer in the park. We recommend the Sign of Triumph, with chariot battles in the middle of an ancient Roman arena. But there's also Vickings, with fights, flames and stunts, the Ghost Birds Ball, the Secret of the Lance and Richelieu's Musketeer.
Between each of these Puy du Fou shows has set up a series of "between shows", so that you can take advantage of almost non-stop visits and entertainment at any time of day. You'll be able to visit the 1900 village, the Fort de l'An Mil, the medieval town, the 18th-century village, etc. Everything has been done to ensure that every minute you spend in the park is intense, with no downtime, and that you're part of an unforgettable experience. a complete change of scene.
Le Puy du Fou is also internationally renowned for its Cinéscenie night-time show, involving hundreds of volunteers known as the "puyfolais". Scenes depicting the Vendée Wars and the resistance of the people of Vendée to the oppression of the 'republicans' of the time will be played out before your admiring and mesmerised eyes. To use the word 'republican' is certainly a misnomer, and in the course of the adventures and the various scenes presented, you will realise the courage of the people of the Vendée at the time and the barbarity of the fanatical republican revolutionaries.
