Kilometres and kilometres of fine sandy beaches, with a beautiful dune belt, an ever-present maritime pine forest, sand as far as the eye can see, and the opportunity to go fishing on foot as well as bonzage or farniente.
This town on the Vendée coast has everything you could wish for, and its many assets make it an ideal holiday destination. La Tranche sur Mer has a town centre with many small shops where you can enjoy a stroll in the warm weather or stop for a drink or an ice cream on the terrace of a café. Take a walk along the estacade, which has a pontoon for boats. From the pier, you can also cast out one or more lines to catch a few fish.
Beaches with a long-standing reputation await you, La Terrière beach very well known Sainte Anne beach but also those of Génerelles, Corps de Garde and Flandre Dunkerque. In all, there are almost 13 km of coastline with a succession of south-facing beaches, ideal for water sports such as surfing, kite surfing, catamaran sailing, windsurfing and even the increasingly popular stand-up paddle.
